Biography
Amir Hamja (b. 1992, Brahmanbaria, Bangladesh) is a Photographer and Filmmaker based in Manhattan, New York. He studied pharmaceutical science in college before moving to New York in 2017 to study at the International Center of Photography. In 2023, he became the First Bangladeshi Photographer to join The New York Times as a photography fellow. Inspired by the language of Cinema, his work documents the intimacy of everyday life in Technicolor.
